Wir sind bereits zweimal mit Ranil von Urlaublanka auf Tour gewesen – es waren großartige Urlaube dank Ranils Vorbereitung und Planung. Er ist ein sehr sicherer Autofahrer, der uns stets gut durch den Verkehr lenkte. Die Versorgung mit Wasser und Essen unterwegs war gesichert. Wir außen oft Local Food, was wir sonst nie alleine gemacht hätten. Ranil kennt sich sehr gut aus in Sri Lanka – so besuchten wir Tempelanlagen, Wasserfälle, Teeplantagen, reisten ein Stück mit dem Zug, fuhren zusammen TukTuk usw.

Er hat früher einmal 2 Jahre in Deutschland gelebt – daher auch seine sehr guten Deutsch-Kenntnisse.

Zudem ist er sehr sympathisch und wir hatten auch viel Spaß mit ihm unterwegs.

For our two week tour of Sri Lanka we contacted Ranil based on a recommendation. This turned out to be an absolute stroke of luck. After a few phone calls and emails, our tour was complete. Taking our age and fitness (time difference, heat) into account, we created an individual round trip with him that was perfect for us. We have adapted a tour package he already offered for our interests and needs (Culture Triangle, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Horten Plains, Worlds End, tea plantations, train ride to Ella, river rafting Kitulgala, Yala Safari, Rakawa Beach Turtle Egg Storage at night, Udawalawe Safari, Tangalle, Cooking Class Ranil is an excellent driver/guide who drove us carefully and safely through the traffic system, which we did not understand. We felt safe and comfortable with him at all times and became friends with him after a short time. Through his friendly and respectful dealings with people and his subtle sense of humor, we have had many wonderful experiences. The round trip and hotels were very well planned and we will always remember the many small excursions and detours. Thank you again Ranil for accompanying us everywhere and looking out for us, which certainly cannot be taken for granted. The booked middle class accommodations were all great and very clean. Ranil knows Sri Lanka very well and he not only showed us the visits and regions we had previously planned with him, but also many things worth seeing on the tour off the usual tourist path. Thanks to his extensive knowledge and good connections, he was always able to arrange a good local guide or jeep driver for us. Cooking course, rafting, hikes will certainly remain in our memories. We also learned a lot about the country and its people through many good conversations with him outside of his normal working hours and also with locals with whom we would otherwise never have spoken. Before we left, Ranil invited us to visit his family at his house. There we were excellently cooked by his wife and we were able to get an insight into the life of a modern Sri Lankan family. Sri Lanka itself is such a fantastic holiday destination. COVID-19 was better under control there than in Germany and we definitely felt safe. Thank you again for this unforgettable time – we keep our fingers crossed that more tourists will soon come to Sri Lanka and that your country will soon be on the up again economically. We are very happy that we decided to take our annual trip to Sri Lanka again after the problems caused by Covid and despite the difficult economic situation. We didn’t notice anything at all about the difficulties reported in the media. The now modernized hotels, restaurants and sights could be used without any problems or restrictions. There weren’t any demos or other problems. People wear masks everywhere and keep their distance, and sufficient safety measures have also been taken. We found Ranil in 2017 through our internet search for a German-speaking travel guide in Sri Lanka. The contact in advance by email and Whatts app telephony was very uncomplicated because he speaks German and English well. Ranil accommodated all of our extra requests with ease. Changes in route and accommodation were not a problem. Since then we have traveled through this beautiful country with him every year. For professional reasons, I (female, 65) have already traveled with him twice alone and he took good care of me, so that I felt safe at all times. We have tried different round trip models with Ranil. Sometimes tours organized by him in advance, sometimes spontaneous hotel searches. Due to his good contacts, this was not a problem either and we were as flexible as possible. It was really extraordinary 14 days that we were able to experience with Ranil again. From the warm welcome at the airport to departure. Apart from the visits planned for our round trip, we visited many places and places that are not included in normal tourist round trips (cooking courses, turtle night watching, remote mountain temple complexes) and saw a lot at many stopovers. Thanks to Ranil, we always have a lot of contact with the locals, with whom we would otherwise not be able to communicate due to a lack of good English skills. Ranil is an excellent and safe driver and knows all the beautiful corners of Sri Lanka. He knows the best Ayurveda masseurs and Ayurveda pharmacies, the most delicious banana, coconut, mango and other fruit stalls and safe restaurants where tourists can safely eat very cheaply. The hotels he chose were all great and often better than middle class. Dear Ranil, we thank you again for the wonderful 14 days and are already looking forward to the next tour with you and leaving your beloved Sri Lanka with a smile.

Ranil hat uns gute Tipps gegeben und auch einiges für uns organisiert. Wir haben viel von Srilanka gesehen, was wir alleine nicht gesehen hätten. Man fühlt sich jederzeit gut und sicher aufgehoben. Private Tours Sri Lankan ist sehr empfehlenswert.

100% Weiterempfehlung für Ranil !

Wir haben es nicht bereut, dass wir uns nach den durch Covid verursachten Problemen und trotz der schwierigen wirtschaftlichen Situation für unsere alljährliche Reise nach Sri Lanka entschieden haben. Von den in den Medien berichteten Schwierigkeiten bezüglich Krawalle und Notstand haben wir kaum etwas bemerkt. Die Hotels haben die Zeit genutzt und modernisiert, Restaurants und Sehenswürdigkeiten konnten ohne Probleme und Einschränkungen genutzt werden. Es gab keine Demos oder andere Probleme. Überall tragen die Menschen Masken und halten Abstand, zudem wurden ausreichende Sicherheitsmaßnahmen getroffen.

Auf Ranil sind wir im Jahr 2017 über unsere Internetsuche nach einem deutschsprachigen Reiseführer in Sri Lanka gestoßen. Der Kontakt vorab per Email und Whatts App Telefonie war sehr unkompliziert, da er ausreichend gut deutsch und englisch spricht. Ranil erfüllte alle unsere zusätzlichen Wünsche mit Leichtigkeit. Änderungen der Route und Unterkunft waren kein Problem. Seitdem reisen wir jedes Jahr mit ihm durch dieses wunderschöne Land. Aus beruflichen Gründen bin ich (weiblich, 65) schon zweimal alleine mit ihm gereist und er hat sich gut um mich gekümmert, sodass ich mich jederzeit sicher gefühlt habe. Wir haben verschiedene Rundreisemodelle mit Ranil ausprobiert. Mal von ihm vorab organisierte Touren, mal spontane Hotelsuche. Aufgrund seiner guten Kontakte war auch das kein Problem und wir waren so flexibel wie möglich. Es waren wirklich außergewöhnliche 14 Tage, die wir wieder mit Ranil erleben durften. Von der herzlichen Begrüßung am Flughafen bis zum Abflug. Abgesehen von den für unsere Rundreise geplanten Besichtigungen haben wir viele Orte besucht, die in normalen touristischen Rundreisen nicht enthalten sind (Kochkurse, Schildkröten-Nachtbeobachtung, abgelegene Bergtempelanlagen) und bei vielen Zwischenstopps viel gesehen. Dank Ranil haben wir immer viel Kontakt zu den Einheimischen, mit denen wir uns sonst mangels guter Englischkenntnisse nicht verständigen könnten. Ranil ist ein ausgezeichneter und sicherer Fahrer und kennt alle schönen Ecken Sri Lankas. Er kennt die besten Ayurveda-Masseure und Ayurveda-Apotheken, die leckersten Bananen-, Kokosnuss-, Mango- und andere Obststände und sichere Restaurants, in denen auch Touristen sicher und sehr günstig essen können. Die Hotels, die er auswählte, waren alle großartig und oft besser als Mittelklasse. Lieber Ranil, wir danken dir nochmals für die wunderbaren 14 Tage und freuen uns schon jetzt auf die nächste Tour mit dir und verlassen dein geliebtes Sri Lanka wieder mit einem Lächeln.
